COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is designed to provide new immigrants with the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to navigate the path to U.S. citizenship, while emphasizing the rights, responsibilities, and participation required for active citizenship.
Citizenship
The Pathway to Citizenship: A Comprehensive Guide for Aspiring Citizens is a 12-week program (2 hours per week) during which the student learns about the fundamentals of civics.
Target Audience: Immigrants pursuing naturalization and those seeking to understand citizenship processes and responsibilities.

Week 6: Civics and History for the Citizenship Test (Part 2)
Week 7: Rights and Responsibilities of U.S. Citizens

Evaluation:
Participants will be assessed based on their attendance, participation in class activities, completion of homework assignments, and their performance in mock interviews and tests. A certificate of completion will be provided at the end of the course, and additional support will be offered for those continuing through the naturalization process.
This curriculum is designed to ensure that new immigrants feel confident and prepared to take the steps necessary for naturalization, while understanding the significance of their new role as engaged and informed citizens.
